The church has, at times, been a source of pain rather than healing for many. “We’re Sorry” is a series of repentance, truth-telling, and a commitment to change. Each week, we will confront areas where the church has caused harm and seek the transformative power of God’s love to heal these wounds. Together, we will explore how to become the church Jesus calls us to be—a place of justice, love, and grace. This series will address church accountability, confront bigotry, Christian nationalism, and toxic theology, creating space for repentance and renewal.

Though John’s baptism was one of repentance from sin, Jesus submitted to the ritual as a way of standing with us, claiming there was no limit to God’s overwhelming love. It would be a most appropriate celebration of this event by sharing corporately in an act of remembrance of baptism for the whole congregation.Know you are a beloved child of God. The Longest Night Service

Saturday Dec 21, 2024

Saturday Dec 21, 2024

Tonight, we gather on what is often called the 'Longest Night'—a service of reflection and hope held near the winter solstice, the longest night of the year. In the midst of a season that celebrates joy and light, we recognize that for many, this time can be filled with grief, pain, or longing. Whether it’s the loss of a loved one, the weight of life's struggles, or the ache of unfulfilled hopes, this season may not feel merry and bright for everyone.
Tonight, we want to hold space for those feelings in the presence of God. We want to take a moment to rest in the quiet assurance that even in the darkest night, God’s light shines. Together, may we bring our burdens, our tears, and our prayers, trusting in the promise of Emmanuel—'God with us'—who meets us with comfort, peace, and hope. Looking to find a group to connect with?
